Genetics and Sports Nutrition
摘要
Nutritional genomics is an emerging field that investigates how nutrients influence gene expression and, consequently, impact skeletal muscle metabolism, athletic performance, and metabolic flexibility. Macronutrients serve as critical modulators of metabolic programming by regulating cellular homeostasis and gene activity. This chapter offers a comprehensive overview of key DNA polymorphisms involved in energy metabolism, with a particular focus on genes such as ACTN3, AMPD1 C34T (rs17602729), PPARA (rs4253778), PPARD (rs2016520), PPARG (rs1801282), PPARGC1A (rs8192678), and TFAM. The implications of these genetic variants are examined in the context of muscle fiber composition, athletic performance, and susceptibility to metabolic disorders. Emphasis is placed on the importance of personalized nutritional strategies to harness individual genetic potential and support optimal metabolic health and physical performance.
