摘要
In many countries such factors as ageing populations, multiple morbidities and rising number of long-term chronic illness put current health care systems struggle to effectively meet the rising demands for care. A strong secondary outpatient health care system helps to effectively monitor patients with chronic diseases, as well as facilitate access to health care services for vulnerable groups of the population and pro-mote preventive health measures. The availability of secondary outpatient health care services plays a significant role in shaping the health behavior of the population. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the availability of secondary ambulatory health care affects patients’ health behavior, with the aim of identifying the main factors influencing health behavior. The main method of the research was the survey (face to face interviews). A telephone resurvey of 10% of respondents was conducted within 10 days of the interview in order to ensure verification of the interviews conducted. The results of the study show that most of the respondents have used secondary ambulatory health care services, however, the health behavior of patients is largely influenced by socio-economic factors, time, location of service and perception of the health care system. Thus, it can be concluded that secondary outpatient health care services are already not sufficiently available, which negatively affects the health behavior of the population.
