Notwithstanding these promising advancements, critical challenges persist. For both material classes, achieving consistent nanoparticle dispersion, precisely controlling interfacial interactions, and scaling up manufacturing processes remain pivotal obstacles. Rigorous evaluations of long-term performance and reliability under the demanding conditions of aerospace operations are imperative. Furthermore, the development of eco-friendly synthetic pathways is essential for minimizing the environmental footprint of these advanced materials. Nevertheless, the cumulative results to date unequivocally highlight the transformative capacity of both metallic and polymeric nanocomposites in redefining the standards of aerospace material performance. Sustained investment in targeted research and development, with a specific focus on overcoming existing challenges and refining manufacturing processes, will expedite their transition to widespread industrial applications. By strategically harnessing the synergistic strengths of these advanced materials,
