This chapter introduces the approvals and certifications required to operate an aircraft from an airworthiness perspective, including the Type Certificate (TC), Certificate of Airworthiness (CofA), Air Operator Certificate (AOC), Operations Specifications (OpSpecs), Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC, EASA only), to the Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) issued after maintenance.
