The dynamics and difficulties of work-life balance (WLB) among workers in the Indian IT industry, which is renowned for its high-performance requirements, international operations, and fast-paced atmosphere, are examined in this study. The study’s objectives are to determine the main variables that affect WLB, analyze and contrast the tactics used by top IT companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro, and assess how WLB affects employee well-being, organizational commitment, and work satisfaction. The study uses secondary research, drawing information from academic literature, industry reports, NASSCOM and ASSOCHAM polls, and documented HR procedures. The results show that although businesses have implemented remote work policies, flexible scheduling, and wellness programs, their efficacy varies. For instance, Wipro makes investments in digital wellness and management assistance, Infosys concentrates on employee well-being initiatives, while TCS prioritizes structured remote work frameworks. Notwithstanding these initiatives, enduring problems including long workdays, digital exhaustion, and the blurring of work-life balance especially in hybrid environments—remain common. There are also gender differences, with women experiencing more stress from playing two roles. Although this research relies on secondary data, yet critically synthesizes existing literature and provides strategic insights for enhancing work-life balance in the Indian IT industry. Further studies may be conducted to enrich our understanding and validate proposed interventions by obtaining primary empirical data via surveys or interviews.

摘要
