In this chapter, we investigate the spectral gap properties in \(L^{1}\) spaces of a class of \(C_{0}\) -semigroups, generated by convolution perturbations of the first-order differentiation operator in one spatial dimension. This analysis arises in the context of the nonlinear theory of nonlocal Allen-Cahn equations.
