Human resources are one of the most critical assets in garment manufacturing. Operators’ performance directly determines both production capacity and productivity levels. This study analyzes how operators’ performance influences the production capacity of a sewing line in a garment company in Albania. A 12-week observation was conducted, and data were collected from operators’ performance sheets within the company’s Management Information System. Findings show that low operator performance significantly reduced standard hours and weekly output, threatening delivery reliability. After managerial interventions including skills inventory sheets, training procedures and incentive schemes, performance level improved steadily, leading to measurable increases in production capacity. The paper contributes to providing empirical evidence from the Albanian garment sector and demonstrates how relatively simple human centered managerial tools can enhance operators’ efficiency and capacity, without major technological investments. The study offers practical recommendations for managers and contributes to the broader literature on labor performance and productivity in apparel manufacturing

摘要
