Learning in the Workplace
摘要
This chapter explores how individuals learn within workplace settings by examining foundational learning theories and processes. It begins by outlining three major approaches to learning: behavioral, cognitive, and social, highlighting how each framework explains different aspects of how individuals acquire and apply knowledge. The chapter then delves into experiential learning, introducing the four-phase learning cycle and linking it to individual learning styles such as creating, planning, deciding, and acting. It also discusses action learning as a team-based problem-solving method. Attention is given to learning in contemporary organizations through concepts such as intelligence, multiple intelligences, expertise, and deliberate practice. The chapter emphasizes the importance of learning goal orientation, flexibility, and cognitive complexity for individual and organizational growth. Finally, it explores how trust supports organizational learning, effective attitudes toward learning, and meaningful learning experiences, all of which contribute to resilience, adaptability, and collaboration in diverse and dynamic work environments.
