The Silver Tourism project introduces a digital system designed to facilitate sustainable and accessible tourism experiences for elderly and vulnerable individuals. Focusing on religious, coastal, maritime, and biodiversity-rich destinations, the system addresses key challenges such as limited mobility, health monitoring, and access to essential services. It integrates wearable sensors, a smart insole, and a dedicated mobile application to support safe and personalized travel. This paper describes the system’s architecture, development methodology, and preliminary evaluation results. By aligning with the principles of digital inclusion and environmental sustainability, Silver Tourism contributes to the advancement of inclusive tourism technologies and the active aging agenda.
