Learning to Navigate Polycrises Through Transformative Serious Games
摘要
Navigating polycrises requires leadership strategies that integrate flexibility, resilience, and context-sensitive decision-making. Organizations must develop leadership approaches that balance operational efficiency with crisis adaptability. This paper explores the role of transformative serious games in fostering polydextric leadership, which enables leaders to seamlessly transition between management, leadership, and command functions. By leveraging immersive simulations, serious games provide structured environments for developing strategic planning, crisis response, and decision-making skills. This paper examines the application of serious games in various settings, including everyday business life, crisis situations, and leadership-by-example scenarios. While existing literature has primarily focused on serious games for knowledge acquisition and skill practice, it highlights the specific mechanisms through which transformative serious games can develop polydextric leadership competencies.
