This chapter presents events from the field of military ophthalmology. It includes accounts of well-known figures from world history who suffered eye diseases or blindness as a result of warfare, such as Adolf Hitler, Hannibal, and Moshe Dayan. Furthermore, various wars are mentioned, and two important books on military ophthalmology are introduced.
