Semantic communication, while driving technological innovation, also faces significant privacy and security challenges, especially in the joint semantic channel coding framework. During data sharing, the leakage of sensitive information can expose user privacy, creating potential security risks. This chapter will explore the network attack patterns that could lead to privacy breaches in semantic communication systems, as well as common countermeasures. Privacy protection methods tailored to different tasks and encryption strategies for private information in various scenarios are introduced.
