Semantic Communication with Multi-antenna System
摘要
This chapter provides an overview of recent advances in applying semantic communication techniques to MIMO systems, with a focus on both open-loop and closed-loop MIMO scenarios. In the open-loop scenario, existing studies have investigated the integration of semantic communication with linear detection techniques to maintain robust performance without CSI at the transmitter. In the closed-loop scenario, research efforts have explored the combination of semantic communication with precoding strategies, including both implicit approaches based on attention mechanisms and explicitly designed with importance-aware semantic communication systems, where the transmitted semantics are aligned with MIMO subchannel quality. In addition, adaptive CSI feedback mechanisms can help improve feedback efficiency, typically by adjusting the feedback overhead based on the prediction of reconstruction quality.
