Integrated GPS-Video Surveillance System for Cargo Vehicles
摘要
This study presents the implementation of a comprehensive security system for heavy cargo transportation, combining satellite tracking, engine control, and video surveillance. The system architecture uses a Raspberry Pi 5 as the central processing unit, connected to a NEO-6M GPS module (accuracy \(<5\) m), SRD-05VDC-SL-C relays for engine immobilization, and 5MP Dahua cameras with night vision. Node-RED manages data flows while a web interface provides real-time monitoring. Field tests demonstrated the system’s effectiveness in vehicle tracking, remote engine shutdown, and visual surveillance, addressing critical security challenges in logistics operations. The solution complies with data protection regulations (LOPDGDD, GDPR) and offers advantages over commercial alternatives like Hunter Tracking Systems, particularly in integration capabilities and operational flexibility.
