Micro Frontends in Real-Time Data Analytics Dashboards For Industry 4.0
摘要
Adopting micro frontends in real-time data analytics dashboards presents an approach contributing to Industry 4.0 advancements, improving scalability and modularity in industrial applications. This paper explores the integration of micro frontends into real-time dashboards, demonstrating its effectiveness through a case study involving a car manufacturer. Composing the frontend into independent micro-applications facilitates seamless collaboration among diverse partners, making the system more flexible and maintainable. Despite challenges such as increased payload size and technical complexities, the benefits of enhanced team autonomy and reduced complexity in large applications underscore the potential of micro frontends. This work aims to present a proposal for implementing micro frontends in Industry 4.0, focusing on implementation and validation in a real-life case, to present the advantages of using this approach in terms of scalability and implementation. In addition to its practical benefits, this architecture can be explored in future developments, including unified tool integration, performance optimization, and support for low-code platforms. These directions highlight the importance of micro frontends in enabling agile, scalable, and future-ready data analytics solutions in manufacturing contexts.
