Development of a Multi-purpose Robot Platform for Hospital Nursing Assistance
摘要
This study presents the development and evaluation of a Raspberry Pi-based robotic platform intended as a nursing assistant within hospital settings. Designed to perform routine logistical tasks, the robot aims to reduce direct human contact, especially in infectious disease control environments, thereby enhancing safety for healthcare workers. Experimental testing focused on two key performance areas: response latency to commands and motor control stability. Results indicated that latency generally increased with distance, averaging 0.14 s at 8 m, although fluctuations were observed beyond this range. Motor speed analysis demonstrated reliable performance, with only slight deviations between the left and right motors, which may affect long-term directional precision. These findings underscore the robot’s ability to assist with non-clinical hospital tasks, offering a promising healthcare automation tool and contributing to safer, more efficient nursing workflow.
