The Impact Analysis of Smart Tourism Technologies (STTs) with Artificial Intelligence to Satisfaction in Indonesian Tourism Sector

Information and communication technologies (ICT) have rapidly evolved, giving rise to Smart Tourism Technologies (STTs), which are capable of delivering unforgettable experiences and facilitating tourists’ access to destination information. However, the attributes of STTs in Indonesia still require improvement to assist tourists better. This study explores the impact of integrating artificial intelligence with STTs on travel experiences and tourist satisfaction, with a focus on information, convenience, and safety. Data for this study were collected through a survey conducted from the beginning to the end of April 2024, using probability sampling. Employing a quantitative approach, the researchers utilize Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for model measurement. The analysis reveals that 8 out of 11 factors examined in this study, including Accessibility, Informativeness, Interactivity, Personalization, Security, Memorable Experience, and Satisfaction, show significant influence. Consequently, this research concludes that the potential of STTs in Indonesia can be realized through adequate technological infrastructure, reliable information, interactive features, and personalized services. Hence, it ensures tourists’ safety.
