Traditional online education lacks personal interaction and engagement found in conventional classrooms. The present development of AI and immersive technologies has made it possible for intelligent educational avatars to come into being. This study explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques such recommender systems, large language models (LLMs), reinforcement learning (RL), and Generative Antagonistic Networks (GANs) to customize learning experiences in immersive environments. Through GANs technology we can create avatars and interactive educational realms that boost student engagement and involvement significantly. As for RL applications in education, it dynamically adjusts content and interactions based on students’ reactions and requirements, in time; ensuring personalized learning experiences. LLMs produce tailored content to aid in communication and enhanced comprehension skills for learners; on the other side recommender systems guide students to valuable educational materials to improve their learning journey, and the Metaverse to create an immersive and engaging virtual environment. By combining these technologies, it opens up the potential to create educational avatars that can provide a customized and immersive learning path.
