Education is one of the most important tasks of any medical society. The primary goal is to educate students, residents, and fellows, followed by a constant need to continually educate and update medical professionals throughout their entire career on new developments. In addition, it is necessary to educate health professionals in fields related to neurology to ensure adequate and proper interactions for delivering multidisciplinary care. Regarding neurology, despite specialization, subspecialization, and super-subspecialization, a multiprofessional, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary approach is gaining importance and is needed to tackle developments in medicine. Most importantly, information and education must also be provided to laypersons, including patients, carers, and persons with lived experiences. Awareness is essential for prevention, therapy, rehabilitation, and avoiding stigma. The purpose of this chapter is to outline the education and training of neurologists at all stages of their career as well as that of other healthcare professionals and laypersons.
