The aim of this study is to examine the development and implications of operational and strategic planning for energy commodity consumption in a mid-sized engineering firm in the Czech Republic. Using quantitative analysis of data from 2018 to 2022, this study identifies key deficiencies in current planning practices and proposes an advanced planning framework to enhance stability and profitability. Our findings suggest that improved planning can significantly boost operational efficiency and strategic adaptability, ultimately leading to increased competitiveness and sustainability.
