Justice and Quality of Life: A Philosophical Perspective
摘要
This chapter examines the links between justice and quality of life from a philosophical angle. This chapter demonstrates that justice influences quality of life to a great degree. By considering both traditional and current philosophies, it investigates the role of justice in shaping both the organization and the perception of a well-functioning society. It presents justice not just as a concept but as a real part of society that assists in sharing resources, opportunities, and dignity. In this chapter, I map out the history of justice in philosophy and face the difficulties in evaluating it in reality, readying the way for justice to be treated important for society. The chapter suggests that looking at both ethical standards and measurable aspects can help us better understand quality of life, especially in societies committed to equity, inclusion, and sustainability.
