Work-life balance (WLB) has emerged as a highly relevant research topic, given its significant influence on employee well-being and organizational performance. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought new working methods and new challenges to organizations and employees. Through a bibliometric study, we aim to study the evolution of research on WLB by analyzing scientific publications indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases. Using a systematic search and selection process, 1,899 relevant studies were retrieved. Data processing and analysis were performed using R, Bibliometrix, and Biblioshiny software, allowing the identification of trends, citation networks, prominent authors, and predominant thematic areas in WLB research. The results highlight the most influential studies, emerging themes, and the evolution of WLB as a multidisciplinary area. The study provides a structured overview of the research landscape on WLB and suggests avenues for future research. This study is innovative compared to other bibliometric studies on the subject of WLB, as it uses the two most important databases in the literature, Scopus and WoS, without any time period restriction.

摘要
