This article analyzes the use of the AVAPROGESP platform in the professional development of public servants at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), with a focus on its contributions to the Training and Qualification Program. The methodology involved an analysis of the platform’s implementation process and an evaluation of four courses conducted between 2021 and 2023. The results indicate that AVAPROGESP played a key role in fostering a dynamic and accessible learning environment, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the integration of the platform with the Integrated Human Resources Management System (SIGRH) optimized course management and expanded the training offerings. Despite its success, challenges remain, such as the need for training in platform use and continuous system updates. It is concluded that AVAPROGESP is a strategic tool for enhancing public servant training, with strong potential to expand and innovate professional development initiatives in the public sector.
