Conceptualizing the Active Ageing Index (AAI): A Systematic Literature Review of Data Collection and Data Treatment
摘要
As the global population ages and cities grow, there is a growing focus on promoting the well-being of older adults. The Active Aging Index (AAI) proposed by the United Nations (UN) is a prominent tool for measuring active aging, which encompasses various aspects of a healthy and fulfilling life. However, studies show that the index could be affected by society’s aspects; on the other hand, previous findings highlight similar frameworks such as the proposed by the UN, and what kind of digital tools support them. It opens new unknowns such as the type of surveys, analysis, or how data is being tacked that address the AAI across these frameworks. Thus, this study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to describe the type of analysis is being executed to tackle numerical features, and how these are being collected. The results revealed that surveys applied to older adults as well as historical data provided by agencies dedicated to this field are the main sources for the collection of data; in the case of data treatment procedures, the results revealed that there were various methods without identifying a predominant one, among them there are graphics, weights, structural equations, to mention some.
