A Blockchain-Based Decentralized Voting System for Secure and Transparent Elections

The rapid evolution of technology has led to innovative solutions for various challenges including the voting systems. This growth in technology can make some advancement in the existing voting systems. However, there are various privacy and security issues with the current voting methods, such as centralized authority, tampering, inefficiencies, fraud, and accessibility barriers for people with disabilities and those who stay far from the constituency. This research study offers a good solution using decentralized blockchain technology to transform the voting system to overcome the issues mentioned above. The proposed voting process is transparent, immutable, and secure with the system’s decentralized architecture on a public blockchain network. Integrity of vote can be checked, and that lowers the possibility of fraud and tampering. A user-friendly web-based application is developed as part of this system to ensure safe voting and device compatibility. A smart contract plays a vital role in the implementation and verification, safeguarding voter integrity. By using the decentralized block chain network and smart contracts, this proposed system enhances security, transparency, and accessibility for all the voters. This study presents that the proposed approach enhances the trust and fairness in the elections, making them highly secure and comprehensive with the latency of 5143 ms, it also proves that the decentralized voting systems are practical and beneficial.
