The Analysis of Characteristics and Response Spectrum of Far-Field Long-Period Ground Motion in Seismic Engineering
摘要
The large amount of earthquake damage indicates that the influence of far-field long-period ground motion (FFLPGM) on long-period structures cannot be ignored. In order to clarify the characteristics of FFLPGM, this study analyzes the amplitude, duration, and spectral characteristics of FFLPGM using seismic data from National Earthquake Data Center; and statistically analyzes the characteristics of absolute velocity response spectrum of FFLPGM. The research results show that FFLPGM has the characteristics of low amplitude, long duration, and rich low-frequency components. The main difference between FFLPGM and non-long-period ground motion (NFFLPGM) appears around the period of 3.5 s.
