The increasing volume of biological data, including nucleotide sequences, protein structures, and interaction data, has made bioinformatics indispensable in life sciences research. However, the persistent shortage of bioinformaticians remains a significant obstacle to the effective use of this data. To bridge this gap, user-friendly software applications are essential, since most life science researchers lack an informatics background. Container technologies, particularly Docker, offer a solution, by providing ready-to-use software packages with pre-installed dependencies, ensuring reproducibility and facilitating complex workflows. The pegi3s Bioinformatics Docker Image Project (pegi3s BDIP) was developed to provide well-documented, reliable Docker images. To further enhance accessibility to the available images, here, we present docknrun, a GUI-based tool designed to simplify running pegi3s BDIP images, and at the same time give access to the structure and information available at the pegi3s BDIP web page. Distributed as a Docker image, docknrun enables researchers to use bioinformatics tools effortlessly, requiring only Docker installation.

摘要
