New organizational specificities in the healthcare sector and medical sciences introduce significant challenges to ensure that the strategy and implementation of considered planning and coordination of hospitals, clinical laboratories, diagnostic centers, and bio-resources meet the demand and needs of the final users and payers. According to Filip et al. (2022), this chapter presents some of the identified organizational peculiarities in the healthcare and medical sciences sector. For instance, what resources an organization needs and what type of internal structures or strategies must be developed to support such development. It shows that knowledge and technology management are highly relevant to organizations today, principally in health and medicine. According to De Bem Machado et al. (2022), the main contribution is the intensification of the use and measure of the impact of knowledge and intellectual capital management in future healthcare and medical organizations. The basic model has shown the dynamics of such organizations. Emphasis on the health sector’s organization and the dire need for designing a complex and modern organizational structure of hospitals, laboratories, and other medical organizations. All these fall under the scope of the contemporary economic perspective. In this regard, Dahiyat et al. (2023) argue that the following section will discuss the unique features attributed to healthcare organizations from a modern economic perspective. The following section exceptionally elaborates on different aspects of organizational specificities, supplemented by an enlightened analysis of the complexities involved in the performance and diagnostics of medical research. In the end, there is a conclusive section to summarize the discussion and evidence presented and draw conclusive remarks summarizing the whole discourse regarding the subject matter (Barr, 2023; Bolden et al., 2023).
