Commentary-Chapter on Part I: Cultural Psychology of Education on the Movement

The theoretical lens of cultural psychology of education has facilitated many interesting exploration and discussion in this section. In this commentary chapter, I would first review the chapters’ different themes and main contents in a summarized form. Not repeating what has included in the chapters, the review would focus on the highlights of the chapters examined through the theoretical lens of cultural psychology of education. Then, I would focus on three aspects for a further discussion based on a cross-chapter reading of this section, which are: (1) the individual-group relation; (2) rupture and tension as developing forces; (3) development from rupture under the guidance of imagination. In the final conclusion, directions and implications for future study within the horizon of cultural psychology of education would also be included.
