In a Europe at the crossroads of accelerated decarbonization imperatives, recurring energy crises and increasingly pressing geopolitical constraints, energy sustainability is becoming not just a component of the environmental agenda, but a fundamental pillar of economic resilience and strategic security. In this context, Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7), which aims to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all, provides a normative and operational framework for assessing progress and formulating convergent policies within the European Union.
