Game Theory in Land Management: Is It Possible to Expand Its Application with Visualization Tools?
摘要
The purpose of the study is to analyze and find effective visualization of decision-making processes in the field of land management based on game theory. Research hypothesis: the application of game theory in land management can be expanded if such application is accompanied by effective visualization. To test the hypothesis, we used content analysis of Russian thematic publications and an expert survey. The study confirmed the hypothesis. The results showed that game theory is not applied in Russian land management. The main reason for this is the need for special competencies. However, the use of visual images can significantly expand the application of this theory in land management. The most effective ways to visualize game theory in land administration are tabular form and graphs. The study showed that the potential for using visual images in this area is quite large. The main methods for expanding the scope of application of game theory in land management are: a) training decision makers; b) a simpler presentation of the theoretical aspects of game theory using visual images; c) personal example of a senior manager; d) introducing the requirement to use game theory tools into the functionality of employees.
