The article presents the results of a study of the motivation and attitude to the activities, career, oneself and other people among the computing center operators using the psychosemantic method “Color Metaphors” by I.L. Solomin, which allows to identify undeclared needs, attitude to events and stages of the life path of operators with different job positions and length of work. The claimed method is one of the types of research data visualization using color. The respondents assigned a certain color to the basic and additional concepts, according to which the proposed concepts were grouped as associative, indicating the true attitude of the respondents to these concepts, since colors correlated with concepts on an unconscious level. Research hypothesis is there are differences between indicators of undeclared motivation and attitude to work, career, oneself and other people among automated control systems’ operators with different experience and job positions. The sample consisted of male and female respondents. The results obtained indicate a limited range of interests and needs, a lack of motivation, and a tendency to loss of desires. Currently, operators are focused on career development issues, professional and social growth, are concerned about their status, and are forced to take actions aimed at improving their social status. 摘要

The results of the study can be used in personnel management in order to develop career and motivate operators of the computing center.
