Religious nationalism does not lend itself to multivocalism or ideological fluidity. Furthermore, religious nationalism often favors a conservative socio-cultural perspective and privileges the community over outsiders. Religious nationalist Jewish Israelis are more likely to be politically conservative and populist than less nationalist Israelis. They are also more likely to be affectively polarized.
