An Analytical Study of Women Entrepreneurs Driving the Green Transformation in Haryana’s Economy
摘要
This study investigates how green entrepreneurial skills, opportunities, and incentives influence both women’s empowerment and green entrepreneurship among women in Haryana. Using a quantitative, cross-sectional approach, primary data were collected from 390 women engaged in green entrepreneurial activities across the state. Analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling to explore the relationships among green entrepreneurial skills (GESS), green opportunities (GOS), green incentives (GIS), women’s empowerment (WEN), and green entrepreneurship (GEP). The findings reveal that green entrepreneurial skills significantly enhance women’s empowerment but unexpectedly show a negative association with green entrepreneurship. Positively, green opportunities impact women’s empowerment and green entrepreneurship, whereas green incentives show a negative impact on empowerment and a positive impulse towards empowerment. Furthermore, green entrepreneurship helps to enhance women’s empowerment particularly. On the other hand, green entrepreneurship does not mediate the green entrepreneurial skills or opportunities and empowerment relationship but does allow the incentives to grant empowerment, thereby having a positive effect on empowerment. These findings are useful for policymakers and development planners aiming to enhance women’s participation in the green economy in Haryana. The research highlights the requirement for more focused approaches that tackle the women-specific barriers, encourage fair access, and develop incentive policies that adequately facilitate women endorsing sustainable practices. This research advances the understanding of the influence of green entrepreneurship on economic resilience and gender empowerment in Haryana by developing these factors into a cohesive framework.
