Composition of Motion Direction of Ankle Kinesthetic Illusion Using Vibration Stimulation
摘要
It is important to generate kinesthetic illusion in rehabilitation or simulated experience to give realistic movement feeling to the user even though it is different from real movement. It is known that kinesthetic illusion is induced by giving vibration stimulation to human muscles. Furthermore, the possibility of control of motion direction of kinesthetic illusion with simultaneous stimulation on multiple muscles has been shown. In this paper, we present a method to compose arbitrary motion direction of ankle kinesthetic illusion by inducing kinesthetic illusion at both ankles in the standing position at the same time. Several muscles are stimulated at the same time considering composing kinesthetic illusion for different directions in the proposed method. Experimental results show that kinesthetic illusion for forward-backward and right-left directions can be generated and that for diagonal motion direction can be composed using the proposed method.
