In an industry characterised by constant evolution and growing customer demands, the challenge of accurately estimating costs for customised products can be particularly demanding. This work explores a solution by designing and developing a tool intended to facilitate the real-time configuration of cost prices tailored specifically for the furniture sector. Firstly, a preliminary study is conducted to review existing modelling approaches in the scientific literature that focus on quotation issues. Based on this analysis, a modelling and solution strategy, which employs a rule-based logic system, is implemented in collaboration with a furniture company. The resulting tool is designed to assess the economic implications of product modifications by considering the wide array of customisable options and parameters that respond to individual customer preferences. By streamlining this process, the tool aims to quickly and accurately determine the cost price of personalised furniture, which significantly reduces time and minimises potential errors associated with traditional manual methods. The tool was developed using the Python programming language.
