Prospects of Carbonate Rocks for Gold Mineralization in the Chakylkalyan Mountains of the Republic of Uzbekistan
摘要
The paper examines the prospects of gold mineralization of carbonate rocks in the territory of the Chakylkalyan Mountains of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The formation processes and generalizing characteristics of gold mineralization in carbonate rocks are analyzed, as well as the basic concepts of the formation of Carlin-type deposits, the mineralogical and geochemical features of apocarbonate gold mineralization are studied. The study delineated the principal elements of the geological structure of the Chakylkalyan Mountains that govern the potential for identifying industrial scale Carlin-type gold deposits within the area. Based on the conducted research aimed at systematizing the identified types, studying the features of the environment of ore localization and pre-ore metasomatism, the material composition of ores and their geochemical characteristics, the relationship with magmatism and related endogenous ore formations, a predictive prospecting complex was developed, including structural-geological, geochemical and mineralogical criteria.
