Bringing DIGICOMPASS Junior to Life
摘要
This chapter explores how the DIGICOMPASS Junior framework can be embedded in diverse primary education settings. It begins by aligning the framework with widely used reference points—the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP)—to ground curriculum design in shared, developmentally appropriate competencies. A mapping section then connects DIGICOMPASS Junior to common primary themes, followed by a clear account of how (multi)literacies function as a structural bridge for integration. The second half moves from design to enactment: it models integration at the unit-of-work level and outlines a phased, context-responsive implementation roadmap with adaptable timelines and light professional learning. Emphasizing teacher agency and learner voice, implementation is framed not as a fixed model but as a dynamic, inclusive journey toward language-rich, globally connected learning.
