Climate change is exerting unprecedented pressure on global water resources, particularly on groundwater, which plays a crucial role in meeting human, agricultural, and industrial needs. Groundwater is highly susceptible to changes in recharge patterns, increased extraction, and quality degradation due to the escalating effects of climate change. This chapter aims to examine the impact of climate change on groundwater and discuss how recent technological advancements can help manage and sustain this vital resource through a detailed literature study. Also, a brief case study of the National Capital Region (NCR), India, with a focus on Sanjay Lake in East Delhi, is included to discuss groundwater recharge strategies with reference to its role in sustainable groundwater management.

摘要
