The Development of an AI Counselor in the Metaverse and Classification of Conversational Content
摘要
In recent years, with the significant increase in students experiencing school refusal, education utilizing the metaverse space has been gaining attention. In this study, we developed an AI counselor, Hironya AI, within the metaverse, aiming to support the learning of these students. While the ultimate goal is to provide support for students experiencing school refusal, this study focused on classifying the dialogue content of individuals who randomly visited and interacted with a publicly accessible metaverse space. Through this classification, expectations toward the following five categories: (1) Social and Interpersonal Issues, (2) Economy-related, (3) Casual Conversations and Entertainment, (4) Daily Life and Health Inquiries, and (5) Academic and Work-related Concerns. This classification serves as a foundational step toward the future integration of AI counselors in educational settings, providing insights into how virtual AI interactions can be effectively leveraged in schools.
