Integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence Tools into the Educational Process

The article briefly formulates the most notable issues characterizing the need for integrationIntegration of generative artificial intelligence (AI)Artificial intelligence tools into the educational processEducational process and considers the most prominent trends emerging in the activities of some established universities. The author argues that, in the absence of the relevant legislative guidance, higher educationHigher education institutions will have to adapt to the influx of a current wave of technological innovations individually and independently. It is concluded that discussions about the expediency and reliability of using artificial intelligence tools in the educational process and the numerous inconsistencies that arise in the daily activities of educational institutions have not yet brought the academic community closer to understanding the nature of the irreversible transformations that have already begun. Consensus seems to have been reached only in the sense that the potential of generativeGenerative AI AIArtificial intelligence should be used to generate new ideas. As for the rest, the uncertainty of the overall situation increases the pressure on both the faculty and the bureaucracy of a particular university, which together sometimes blocks the creative component of the educational processEducational process.
