The relevance of the study is determined by the attention of the scientific community to the educational cooperationCooperation between Russian and Chinese technical universities within the framework of the non-profit organizationOrganization “The Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities”. The authors of the article identified that the results of the fruitful work of the Association are: programs and educational projects, round tables, scientific symposia, conferences and publications, exchange of students in the context of academic mobilityAcademic mobility, exchange of experience between scientific and teaching staff, organization of summer and winter language schools, and internships. The study revealed that the joint functioning of technical universities-members of the Association is hindered by the insufficient number of joint educational programs of technical profile and innovative forms of educationEducation, problems of language training and adaptation of students when studying in a different educational environment, the lack of qualified personnel, and limited academic mobilityAcademic mobility of students. The authors attribute the specifics of interaction between Russian-Chinese technical universities to the optimal legal and informational support of their activities under the auspices of the Association, flexibility in responding to the challenges of modern society, and the creation of new associations of higher schools. The establishment of the Association and its successful work, being an element of “soft power”Soft power, serves as an effective tool to promote national culturesCulture, language, and values of the participating countries. CooperationCooperation of technical universities in connection with the Association allows improving national educationEducation systems, and determines the prospects of technological development of the countries.
