摘要
The study presents an analysisAnalysis of the Chinese caseSociocultural strategies, exemplified by the remarkable breakthrough achieved by the stateState in the last quarter of the twentieth century. Now ChinaChina stands as one of the most influential powers on the global stage, although a century ago, such an outcome would have been difficult to predict. The authors substantiate the thesis that the foundation of the “Chinese miracle” lies in a combination of sociocultural, political, and economic factors that have contributed to strengthening China’s civilizational role. The research highlights that among the sociocultural factors are the distinctive characteristics of the Chinese people, which, at the level of national mentality, define the country’s population and are rooted in a fusion of Confucian traditions that have become deeply embedded in Chinese society. Sociocultural features, including a strong orientation toward collectivism and historical continuity, provided fertile ground for the reforms initiated by Deng Xiaoping. The economic policyPolicy introduced by Deng Xiaoping, based on the combination of market mechanisms for the development of entrepreneurship with socialist planned methods for the development of the basic sectors of the economy, provided a powerful impetus for China’s development. It is noted that a focus on long-term goals—the readiness to implement projects whose outcomes may only become apparent over years, alongside a commitment to unity and cultural identityIdentity both within ChinaChina and among Chinese diasporasDiaspora abroad—shapes economic outcomes and promotes China’s sustainable developmentSustainable Development (SD).
