Special Economic Zones and Transport and Logistics Hubs as an Important Tool for Developing International Relations in the Post-soviet Space

In the current geopolitical situation in the new statesState of EurasiaEurasia, joint activities in the construction of transport and logistics hubsTransport and Logistics Hubs (TLH) located along international transport corridors are playing an increasingly important role in the development of international relationsInternational relations. Sanctions have become a major problem for the development of foreign economic activityEconomic activity in post-Soviet states. By limiting tradeTrade turnover, they also affect the reduction of industrial, production, trade, and financial potential of states. The purpose of the article is to assess the capabilities of post-Soviet states to resist sanctions and develop international relationsInternational relations thanks to the transport and logistics hubsTransport and Logistics Hubs (TLH) and special economic zones. Each former Soviet republicRepublic developed its own system of special economic zones, inherent only to a specific region (Central Asia, Transcaucasia, the Baltics, Eastern European Post-Soviet states, and RussiaRussia). These may be free economic zonesFree Economic Zones (FEZ), special economic zones, industrial zones, technology-implementation, port, tourist and recreational zones, and territories of advanced development. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time information about the existing and planned system of international relationsInternational relations of post-Soviet states in the sphere of creating national products in special economic zones is introduced into scientific circulation, and the results of the analysisAnalysis of joint activities in the construction of transport and logistics hubs for the further promotion of these goods are presented. The authors come to the conclusion that the created system of special zones is constantly evolving, adapting to modern geopolitical conditions, and transport and logistics hubsTransport and Logistics Hubs (TLH) really contribute to the development of foreign economic activityEconomic activity of statesState.
