Analyzing the Impact of Social Media on Students’ Academic Performance: A Comparative Study of Students’ Personalities

This study examines the impact of online and social media platforms on students’ academic performance within the Indian education system. To provide a deeper understanding, personality traits and education levels have been considered as moderating variables. The research specifically focuses on the influence of extraversion and introversion, analyzing how these personality traits shape students’ engagement with social media in an academic context. Utilizing ANOVA for data analysis, the study identifies key factors through which social media affects academic performance and explores the role of personality differences across various education levels. The findings offer valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and students in optimizing social media usage to enhance learning outcomes.
