This chapter presents three detailed case studies—tensioning, tearing, and fogging—as aesthetic events within the C-type printing process. Through experimental study sessions and multimodal artworks, it reveals how tactile, sonic, and more-than-human interactions are central to photographic making. The analysis reframes photographic practice as an affective, material, and event-led process, emphasising how sensuous and ephemeral dimensions challenge conventional notions of representation and authorship.
