Remote Parametric Identification Systems Through Recursive Least Squares of an Industrial Process by PLC-OPC-IoT Architecture

The importance of improving the performance of industrial controllers has grown exponentially in recent years. A great example of this is the Distributed Control System (DCS), which encompasses various functions, including Advanced Process Control (APC). The primary objective of APC is to enhance efficiency in control systems using deterministic or stochastic methods. To achieve this, both non-parametric and parametric system identification can be applied. This study presents a methodology for conducting online parametric identification of a flow system in an industrial plant, implemented within an IoT architecture, enabling remote access and monitoring.
