Kinetic and Thermodynamic Study of Urea Sorption in Clay from the Region of Manicaragua, Villa Clara, Cuba
摘要
The research presents the results of the kinetic study of the adsorption of urea in clay from the Las Mozas deposit, in the Manicaragua region, province of Villa Clara, Republic of Cuba. It is determined that the adsorption fits a pseudo-first-order kinetic model. The study shows that the diffusion in the micropores was observed at the different temperatures. The low activation energy of the adsorption process justifies why urea is easely adsorbed. The adsorption process leads to a release of energy.
