Recapitulation: The Recovery of Threatened Species as a Scientific and Sociopolitical Phenomenon
摘要
Throughout the previous 13 chapters, various interconnected ecological and social dimensions in the context of managing threatened species were analyzed. Appreciating these dimensions from different disciplines can allow a fuller appraisal of the complex problems affecting species, communities, and ecosystems. By way of recap, I will review the 14 chapters of this book in the sense of the public policy cycle. For each of the subsequent phases of this cycle, I accommodate chapters that give an overview of the most outstanding aspects of management. The previous 13 chapters include stories, experiences, and testimonies from some of the actors who have participated in the management of threatened species in the context of government programs in Mexico.
