Marginal and peripheral areas are suffering from the effects of polarization and the unbridled growth of urbanization. More and more areas are emptying, and production systems are undergoing irreversible decline. For these areas, tourism is an opportunity. It breaks traditional determinisms and turns repulsive factors into assets to attract a clientele eager for new spaces and experiences. This study presents two cases of major destinations in Morocco where tourism is developing informally. It explores the links between informality and ecotourism and attempts to provide an analytical reading of the strategies of informal actors in light of the national charter for responsible tourism, using a qualitative survey of these actors. It concludes with the importance of the links between informality and ecotourism and the importance of integrating the informal tourism sector to strengthen the positive impact of tourism on marginal territories and local communities.

摘要
